AD MATERIALS
Preferred File Format: PDF/X1a with a contract proof. If you are unable to provide this type of file, please contact the nearest pre-press house or the Quad Arm Center at (866) 276-2368.
Please note: It is the policy of C magazine, not to accept any native application files such as Quark Xpress, InDesign,Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Information should be supplied on a Macintosh formatted CD.
- Total density should not exceed SWOP, which is 300%.
- All required trapping must be included in the file.
- Use only postscript fonts.
- All fonts must be embedded.
- True type fonts are unacceptable.
- Avoid using Multiple Master fonts.
- Images for 4/C ads must be submitted as final, high-resolution, CMYK files.
PROOF REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferred proof is Epson, running color managed SWOP 3 profiles, on type 3 substrate.
- Kodak Approval, running color managed SWOP 3 profiles, on Somerset 100# or higher substrate.
- All proofs must include the IDEAlliance Color Control Bar (to download color strip go to hot downloads at http://idealliance.org
- All proofs should have clear identification of the type of proof it is, and the contact information of the prepress service provider.
- If you do not supply a SWOP-approved color proof, you waive your rights to contest the reproduction of your ad.
