All incoming material must be CLEARLY MARKED with the following: Publication name, Quantity, Description of material, Issue date, Load count (Total Load Count; Count by Layer), Load Weight (Gross & net), Load Number, Sample of Product Affixed to Outside of Load. Packaging
- Pallets/Tops-Prefer 48" X 42" with entry on 42" side. All Pallets must have attached legs with 4" high entry. Wood tops ("picture frame") are requested.
- Weight-Not to exceed 1,400 pounds gross weight in total per load.
- Height-Not to exceed 44 inches from the floor.
- Loading- Brick pile in alternate stacks. Stacks should not be more than three inches high (no turns) with cardboard between each layer and of sufficient rigidity to prevent curling.
- Banding- Any banding will be accepted which is effective, i.e. metal band or polyester strapping. Prefer that a minimum 2 X 2 banding technique is used, which protects against damaged loads.
- Moisture- Gimmick glue flaps must not be affected by curling and/or sticking together.
- Protection- Load should be stretch wrapped-sufficient to contain load and repel moisture (under bands); water proof paper should be placed between the skid and the bottom layer.
Cartons are acceptable but should not exceed 50lbs.
*We must see a sample to size on actual stock well in advance for bindery approval. Also, Please submit a blueline or the actual insert to us ahead of shipping so we may properly I.D. it and do a final check to insure that the insert is prepared correctly. If no blueline is submitted the publisher will not be responsible for any errors. IF SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT MET ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS INCURRED WILL BE PASSED ON TO THE ADVERTISER. THESE SPECIFICATIONS APPLY ONLY TO STANDARD INSERTS, WHICH TRIM TO BOOK SIZE. ANY GADGETS OR UNUSUAL INSERTS MUST BE LOOKED AT INDIVIDUALLY.
